Unnatural Field Recordings: Passing Voices
Unnatural Field Recordings: Passing Voices is a composition comprised of urban field recordings and sine-tones. Unnatural field recordings are recordings of public spaces, throughout Europe, US, and Mexico. The focus of the recordings are amplified and digital sounds in everyday urban life. These sounds, combined with passing, incidental, and natural sounds of humans, birds, domestic animals, wind, water, etc., create complex soundscapes.
Sine tones are used to manipulate these recordings, through binaural beats, phasing, oscillation, and panning.
